Known as ‘the last frontier,’ Alaska became the 49th state of the US on 3rd January, 1959.
Home to over three million lakes, 34,000 miles of coastline and 3,000 rivers, this is where our wild salmon swim completely free. Famous across the globe for their taste and colour, they thrive in these beautifully clear, cold waters.
In Alaska, sustainable fishing is enshrined in law, with all fisheries carefully monitored to ensure that the best fishing methods are used. Each one has a total catch quota and, once it has been reached, the fishery is closed to preserve fish stocks for future generations.
